Using Qonta
These terms govern your use of the Qonta service. By using Qonta, you agree to them.
Last updated: 20 June 2026
1. The service
Qonta provides AI-assisted bookkeeping over WhatsApp: you send your sales and expenses, and Qonta records, categorizes, and summarizes them, and answers questions about your business. Qonta may also assess your eligibility for working capital based on your recorded activity.
2. Eligibility
You must be operating a business and be legally able to enter into these terms. You're responsible for keeping your WhatsApp account and access secure.
3. Fees and billing
- Qonta costs 9,500 RWF per month.
- Your first month is free.
- If you choose yearly billing, you pay for 10 months and use all 12.
- There are no setup fees, and you can cancel at any time. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.
4. Working capital
Qonta is an underwriting engine, not a lender. Any working capital is provided and funded by licensed bank and microfinance (MFI) partners, and is subject to their approval, terms, and conditions. Eligibility is based on your recorded financial activity and is never guaranteed. Loan terms, including repayment, are set by the funding partner.
5. Your responsibilities
You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you send to Qonta. Qonta organizes what you provide, but it is your record of your business. You agree to use Qonta lawfully and not to misuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service.
6. Your data
Your records belong to you. How we handle your information is described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Service availability
We work hard to keep Qonta reliable, but the service is provided “as is.” We may update, suspend, or change features over time. Qonta also depends on WhatsApp and mobile networks, which are outside our control.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Qonta is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service. Qonta provides bookkeeping and underwriting support; it does not provide accounting, tax, or financial advice.
9. Termination
You can stop using Qonta at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached or to protect the service and its users.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Rwanda.
11. Changes and contact
We may update these terms from time to time; the date above shows when they last changed. Questions? Message us on WhatsApp at 0787 820 842 or email hello@qonta.rw.
